My fiance and I would like to have a reception that included only passed hors d''oeuvres and a full open bar - no dinner. Otherwise it owuld be like a dinner reception - i.e. music and dancing, cake, etc. Does anyone know of a catering hall where we could do that?

Dear Kevgal,
I would suggest calling the Garden City Hotel, if you got a smaller room, they would probably be able to accomodate you. Caffe on The Green is also a possibility, you can call Tracy at 516-520-6287, and ask her what she can do for you. Good luck with all of your wedding planning, hope this helps:)

That's my favorite kind of reception! I've done quite a few. George Washington Manor, Oheka Castle, Westbury Manor, Carltun on the Park and more. Any catering establishment should be able and willing. Usuallythey also have a buffet that keeps changing by the hour.

Also, any favorite restaurant would likely be able and willing.

Re: ****tail and hors d

A beautiful location on the water in Port Washington is the Manhasset Bay Yacht Club. Call the manager
John Tuscano at (516) 767-2150
I have supplied both Bands and DJ's at the Yacht Club when they had the type of reception you are looking for. With a setting like this a steel drum duo for a ****tail hour is spectacular. You can see the steel drums at http://www.stanwiest.com/steel_drums.htm
Hope this helps.Say hello to John from Stan Wiest.
