I need some ideas for a song list that will get my crowd up and dancing, any suggestions??

As vocalist in a LI band here are some of my suggestions that get the crowd going, and that satisfy different age groups:
I Will Survive Old Time Rock & Roll Let's Get Loud Get This Party Started Mony Mony Brown Eyed Girl Boogie Oogie Oogie (spelling-questionable!) Everlasting Love Respect Pink Cadillac I Will Love Again We Are Family Dancing Queen Shake Your Body Down to the Ground Swing - In the Mood, Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy
There are so many more, and if your having a DJ, later in the night you can add a bit more 'club/house' music that may be more appealing for the younger crowd.

As an addition to what Cathy sent you ( and she had great suggestions)- whether you are using a Band or DJ it is extremely important that they 'Read The Crowd' and change the music to match the ambience of the guests as the wedding progresses. What works at one wedding will not necessarily work at another wedding.. This is what I teach in my seminars to bridal consultants. Each wedding is and should be different and unique to that particular bride. As a perfect example my band played a wedding Sunday night as the snow was coming down. The guests were commenting on leaving early because of the storm. The caterer also expected everything to end early. With the right combination of songs and reading the crowd- the bride and many of her guests stayed and danced to the very end of the night and had a great wedding -in spite of the snow and terrible driving conditions. It took me a long time to get home that night because of the driving conditions-but it was worth it to see the smile on the face of the bride -that she had a great wedding. That is true Stan, I guess thats what the professionals are for. I just wanted to give a list for a guideline I guess, thanks for the tip though.
