DILEMMA

Just found out wine country has banned Alcohol on premises for any event/wedding. It must be wine or wine base. Which means all my plans are basically ruined. I had Raphael in mind. Now, I need to look for something else. I need a relaxed, outdoor/indoor option, naturally beautified. A garden or estate will do. If you know of any location that has a nature feel and its gorgeous, please let me know. I don't want to do the typical hall.

Re: DILEMMA

Swan Club has beautiful gardens and a glass-enclosed pavillion for your ceremony and/or cocktail hour. Flowerfields is also amazing. Best of luck!

Re: DILEMMA

Shelter Island is a bit of a hike, but it feels like a world away, and if you're up for the ferry ride the Rams Head Inn may be something that you'd like to look at.

Wishing you both many healthy years of love and marriage, wisdom and wonder.

Re: DILEMMA

Have you spoken to Julie at Raphael? I wouldn't count them out without seeing if she has a way around this.

Full flasks as favors perhaps? LOL!

Good Luck! And I'm sure it will all work out.

Re: DILEMMA

Hello,

Thank you very much for your feedback. I actually love Raphael's. I met with Julie on Saturday. We're waiting to see what's going to happen with the new NYS law. She said she’d have a definite answer for us no later than March.

Re: DILEMMA

Hi Karina and Nikos:

I am not sure that your information is correct about wine country. I have put a call into the president of the Wine country association to make sure this is true. If it is true I fear they will lose many events.

I will get back to you with the information asap.

Re: DILEMMA

Hello again:

I have good news for you. You can serve liquor at the vineyards as long as you use a caterer that has a pouring licence.
