DILEMMA
Just found out wine country has banned Alcohol on premises for any event/wedding. It must be wine or wine base. Which means all my plans are basically ruined. I had Raphael in mind. Now, I need to look for something else. I need a relaxed, outdoor/indoor option, naturally beautified. A garden or estate will do. If you know of any location that has a nature feel and its gorgeous, please let me know. I don't want to do the typical hall.

Swan Club has beautiful gardens and a glass-enclosed pavillion for your ceremony and/or cocktail hour. Flowerfields is also amazing. Best of luck!Jennifer

Shelter Island is a bit of a hike, but it feels like a world away, and if you're up for the ferry ride the Rams Head Inn may be something that you'd like to look at.http://www.shelterislandinns.com/ramshead/
Wishing you both many healthy years of love and marriage, wisdom and wonder.

Have you spoken to Julie at Raphael? I wouldn't count them out without seeing if she has a way around this.Full flasks as favors perhaps? LOL!
Good Luck! And I'm sure it will all work out.

Re: DILEMMA
Hello,Thank you very much for your feedback. I actually love Raphael's. I met with Julie on Saturday. We're waiting to see what's going to happen with the new NYS law. She said she’d have a definite answer for us no later than March.

Re: DILEMMA
Hi Karina and Nikos:I am not sure that your information is correct about wine country. I have put a call into the president of the Wine country association to make sure this is true. If it is true I fear they will lose many events.
I will get back to you with the information asap.

Re: DILEMMA
Hello again:I have good news for you. You can serve liquor at the vineyards as long as you use a caterer that has a pouring licence.
