DJ and Lighting - Please Help

My DJ who is NOT an LIW vendor - has no lights on his DJ booth and has now informed me that if I should want lights (I would like dance lights - not too crazy and a spot light on us during father daughter and husband and wife dance) - that they will have to order it and it will cost me $600 more. Is this the case?

I am already paying him $1500.00
