DJ for engagement party?

Hi I am having a small e-party on either a Fir or Sat night in a pvt room in a restaraunt for about 60-80 ppl. In your experience does one normally have aDJ there? I do not want a 'mini wedding' nor do I want a DJ to over power my guests conversations as I want them to mongle.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
