DJ/live musician combo?

Hi, I am currently beginning my search for music at my wedding. Not exactly sure what I want, but am thinking I'd like a DJ for the majority, but also have some live musicians, maybe percussion or saxophone. Please FM me any advice/ballpark quotes you may have.

Thank You!!

Hi there i sent you forum mail. If you have any questions at all please feel free to contact me.

As a musician with professional experience as well as a tendency to be a 'purist,' I have an inclination against 'karaoke' style entertainment whether the live component be voice or instrumentation. My DJ / Band combo never has live musicians playing along with pre-recorded music. Instead, I provide a combo of live musicians who play sets, alternating with my DJ presentation so that you have the best of both experiences... live and pre-recorded music.

Certain music is best left to the original recording. Live music can certainly add another dimension to the celebration that a DJ cannot provide.

Please check your forum mail for quotes.

Michael

Chrissy,

You have forum mail.

We are pioneers of the fusion of live musicians and dj entertainment. It adds rhythm to the rhythm, and creates the fun and excitement of a live band while still holding true to the versatility and originality of dj entertainment. This fusion of live musicians & dj entertainment is what were best known for (see our ad in Long Island Wedding Pages, and Modern Bride New York which highlights this option). We can add percussion, sax, sax & trombone, vocalist (only during dj breaks, not over dance music), as well as other innovative options. Of course all of our musicians are well, just that, musicians. Most 'gig' full time for a living, and have played with some of the greatest latin & contemporary artist around: Santana, Celia Cruz, Victor Manuelle, The Coba Cabana House Band, El Gran Combo, & many more! You have to see it to belive it! Look to hear from you soon.
