DJ's and Bands

Most often only one or two bands showcase at a time due to the amount of space they take up in a room. Are you looking for a band or DJ or just undecided? If you are in fact undecided might I suggest you check out a showcase being held at the Jericho Terrace on November 20,2002. The showcase begins at 7pm and there will be 2 bands and a DJ showcasing. If you are considering a DJ, you need not necessarily see them 'live' at a showcase. Showcase performances are usually'staged' and often do not really provide a glimpse as to what may really occur at your wedding, especially if the entertainment company specializes in personalized, custom events designed with your vision of the day as the foremost consideration. Most companies have videos or DVD's which can give you some idea about how an individual MC actually works a wedding. Keep in mind that every MC runs a wedding in a different way, even within one company, incorporating their own style and personality. You are correct in that your entertainment selection is a time consuming process. One-stop shopping in all liklihood will not be too helpful. Brides who take the time to individually meet with each prospective service usually find the best match for them, and can feel confident knowing that the best decision was made. More importantly, try to meet with the actual MC. You will probably either make a connection or not based solely on the interview, without even viewing a demo. This will prevent second-guessing as your big day draws near.

You might want to see if a few bands can send you videos first. Then you can view the videos at your leisure and narrow it down, then go check out a couple live. Good Luck!!

Well, there are no band and dj only showcase that I am aware of.
The largest bridal showcase on long island coming up is at the Huntington Hilton on Novemeber 10. It will feature the most vendors under one room! This will include many dj's and bands. There will be 2 DJ Companies performing ; my company will perform, and another , and a band.
Its a huge showcase, and anyone planning a wedding should try to make plans to attend. For any questions, or for a formal invitation mailed to you, just give us a call or drop an email , and I will get back to you asap.
