What is a normal price for a DOC and what do they usually do?

Is it impossible to get one this close to my wedding date (Aug 8)?

Thank you for all of the FMs. My mom has decided that we just can't spend the money on a DOC in this economy. I am disappointed because I think it would be helpful to take the pressure off her, but I understand wanting to limit the expenses as things get worse.
