Donations as Favors

How do I go about giving donations as favors? I am not sure where to start. Who do I contact? I would do a cancer organization.

The Fortunato Breast Cancer Foundation at Mather Hospital in Port Jefferson accepts donations and gives the donor a card with a breast cancer pin on it which they give to you to distribute to your guests in place of a favor. The card lets your guests know that that a donation has been made.

There is The Little House in E. Northport.
They need donations all the time. It's the only house/home for hospice patients.
What a thoughtful and unselfish gesture on your behalf.
