Ok, we're finalizing printing on our invites today, and I have a question.
We're inviting the children of my FH's aunt. They range in age from 16-19. We do not want them to bring guests. We're paying $150/pp and we have to cut out some distant relatives, we can't afford to give these young people (there are 5 of them) guests. These kids have family and friends coming, they will be fine.
So, should we give the people 18 and over their own invites, or include them on their parents invite? Please help!

Re: Etiquette question
Usually guests over 18 get their own invite. But, in your case I would suggest that you send the invitation outer envelope to, for example Smith Family - the inner envelope should read John, Mary and children or list each kids name out.
That way you are clear that your are inviting the family and do not want additional guests.
Sometimes, proper etiquette simply does not work for the situation.

Re: Etiquette question
I agree totally with Theresa. In your situtation, if you send them their own invite, they may assume they can bring someone with them. I would definetely include them on the 'family invite' and specifically, on the inner envelope, have their names spelled out so that there is no confusion.
