first make up trial :(

I had my first make up trial yesterday. It was airbrushing. I was disappointed because I wanted to look better than usual for my wedding and find I like how I do it myself.

The airbrushing seemed too heavily made up on me. My pores appeared larger and the lines under my eyes more exaggerated.

With that, I don't like that my eyelashes weren't as full like when I do them. Maybe it was the waterproof mascara she used? I find waterproof formula does make them less full.

Not sure how to hide the circles under my eyes besides needing more sleep but piling foundation on under them is NOT a good idea. I looked like I had more wrinkles then I have!

Any make up artists out there that have opinions/help based on what I said? Thanks

Re: first make up trial :(

Hi Irene,
Just to give you my opinion. Airbrushing does tend to be over rated. It's not for everyone. It is a more dry type of foundation as opposed to regular foundation. People who have dryer skin tend to feel uncomfortable with it then people who have oily skin. I have done airbrushing on numerous brides and they decide that they want regular foundation instead. If you have undereye lines it can settle into those lines and make them look more exaggerated . With todays products such as face primers, eye primers etc... it can give you just as much as a flawless look then airbrushing does. People tend to think that airbrushing will make the makeup last long it can of course. But like I said with regular foundation using all the right products such as waterproof sealers, primers, waterproof liners and mascaras your makeup will not move providing your makeup artist is using these products. I'm going to continue answer your questions on another post it cuts me off at a certain point.

Re: first make up trial :(

Hi again.
to continue. As for your question on waterproof mascaras yes they tend to be a little more weaker then regular mascaras. What I recommend you do is apply regular mascara on top wait for it to dry then apply waterproof mascara over it to lock it in on the bottom only use waterproof. As far as your undereye circles some people think it's yellow base concealers that washes away the blue under the eyes. Well it's not. Salmon and pink based undertones are what get rid of the shadows under your eyes. At Mac any concealer with NW has pink undertones. You can even create your own undertone just by buying a flat orange lipstick mixing it with a regular concealer until you get a light pink color apply it to the shadow area only then take a regular concealer and apply over it to hide any pink that shows threw then set with a powder. I hope this answers your questions if you have more I would be more then happy to answer them for you. All the best to you

Thank you,

Sandra Baldini

P.S. Take a look at my before and after shots on my website just to tell you that the majority of the girls had regular makeup done not airbrushing and they look just as flawless.
