Flowers/Sunflowers

Are sunflowers in season for October 10th? How many would you recomend for the bridesmaids to carry?

Dear Nora,
I am not a flower expert, however I cannot help but notice lots of sunflowers blooming along the roadside at many of the farms in Suffolk County and Eastern L.I. this time of year! I would think they are in season for October and, if not, I am sure your florist can arrange to have them shipped. As far as how many for each Bridesmaid to hold, I think your florist would be able to give you the best information and show you some sample bouquets.
