Was once a bride, now a newlywed. Sorry for posting here but dont know where to go for guideance.
Had dark brown hair that I finally consented to have highlighted. Loved it..and have been doing it for about 2 years. Now I think that my hair has been 'whited out' at the ends- due to the amount of highlighting. People think I went blonde!
I do not want to dye, but I think I dont want to highlite anymore.
How do I tone this down? I have shoulder length hair & dont want 2 go shorter.
THANK you for allowing me to post this here....

Hair question?
Hi,
I had the same situation. I have dark brown hair and had highlights like you. 6 months ago that changed. I went back to my natural color but it took that a long time to get the right shade. She didn't use a permanent dye. She used the wash out ones until we got the right color and now she dyes my hair then adds lighter brown tones to cover some of my greys. Have someone you trust do it for you.
It's a slow transition but I'm glad I did it!
If you have any other questions, email me at [email protected].
Good Luck it will look great once you're done.

Hair question?
You should really go to a professional colorist and have them look at your hair in person to recieve the best advice. After all the chemicals your hair has been treated with, it has become very pouros (DRY) at the ends. You can use a toner with no chemicals or a rinse to calm the blonde, however it is only temporary. Today they also have semi-permanet hair dye that won't harm your hair, maybe you should go one solid color and get a glossing for shine. A slight trim and deep conditioning is also suggested.
