Hawaii Honeymoon - Anyone want to quote?
Basically we are looking for a 10-14 day honeymoon on or around September 15th-29th, 2007 (start and end dates are negotiable - our wedding is September 9, and we don't want to leave the day of or day after the wedding).
We would love to visit three islands - right now we're leaning towards Kauai, Maui, and Oahu. We already have some hotels in mind; Grand Wailea on Maui, Grand Hyatt on Kauai, and either JW Marriott Ihilani or Turtle Bay Resort on Oahu (although those are negotiable as well).
Of course none of this is set in stone, I would love to visit the big island as well but we're having trouble prioritizing. Ideally we are thinking of the breaking it up approx. 5 nights on Maui, 4 or 5 on Kauai, and 3-4 nights on Oahu. I think we'd want the shortest stay of our island in the middle of the trip.
We would require airfare out of LaGuardia or JFK as well (not necessarily a direct flight). I'm sure first class is ridiculously expensive, but not sure if theres some travel agent deal for honeymooners...
Also not sure if we would need to rent a car. We have rented cars in the past on vacations (we've visited various islands in the Caribbean several times). However not sure if we'd want to include that or shop around while we are there. Unless it was a specifically good deal i dont think a rental car would need to be part of the package.
Any other tips or extras for honeymooners in Hawaii would be great as well. Please FM
