Hey Wedding photographers......

I would love to start a career in wedding photography... Does anyone have an advice for me on where I would start? I know I have to put together a portfolio & such. I was looking into attending photography classes, but I dont know which schools are reputable in NYC.

Try starting out as an assistant to a wedding photog. Contact the person who photographed your wedding, ask if they need a production person or an assistant. I have an assistant that started working for me years ago, now, he is one of my top photographers ( I showed him the ropes). At this time of season everything is slowing down........not much freelance work out there. The season starts up again in late April-May. Try going to a showcase,talk to the people at the show.
