How do I pick Church Music?
I have no idea what to pick. It all sounds nice to me. I went to a wedding where the bridal party walked down to shania Twain ..it was so nice a different and it made me cry, but i do not think my church will let me do that.

Re: How do I pick Church Music?
I like my church brides to1. First, talk to the music director at the church and let them tell you their requirements. They can tell you where music goes in the ceremony, and what parameters they place on music selection. For example, many Catholic churches require that the music be 'liturgically correct' for the places in the mass. (No Ave Maria during communion?)
2. Then, talk to your musician (church or outside musician, as I would be) to fill in the blanks as per above step. Your musician can help guide you toward what she can play, make suggestions, say 'yes' to your requests, and just generally help make it an easy process.
I personally don't encourage my brides to research music too much before talking to me, because there's no way you could ever find anything representing the breadth of my repertoire. But another musician might not feel this way. And I'm still very open to requests.
