Re: I need a place to hold my wedding ceremony
Hi Lisa, This is a post of the forum Mail that I sent you a while back. If it didn't help then It probably won't help now but perhaps the info will be handy to someone else so here goes!_________________
I did at St Johnland in Kings Park a little over a year ago. It's the church on the grounds of a Sr.'s Community but it's not at all sad or swarming with night of the living dead kind of old folks. It's really beautiful on great grounds and worth a look IMO. The wedding I did was for a girl who worked there, and she said they were interested in doing more weddings. Huge space, all redone, beautiful place.
Their website is http://www.stjohnland.org/home.php
but I don't know who you would have to talk to.
I love the Islip Grange and have no idea why it isn't more popular for smaller weddings. I married a couple there almost 4 years ago it is quaint beyond belief, totally affordable and really close to Bellport CC. (this I have info on for you!)
It is a Town of Islip Property and if you call Annette at 631- 224-5684 she'll send you out an application and set you up with one of the care takers for a look see.
There is a $100.00 security deposit which you get back by leaving the site as you found it.
The 3 hour site fee is $175.00 for non residents and $125.00 if you live in Islip. Photo's ceremony what ever you choose to do with your 3 hours is up to you.
Occupancy is about 60 people and they did have an organ there.
If you, like most people I know, have never heard of the Islip Grange, below is a link with some photos.

I hope this has been helpful! Feel free to call me if there's absolutely anything that I can be of further assistance with! I eat sleep and breathe wedding so believe me it's no imposition LOL!
Wishing you both many healthy years of love and marriage, wisdom and wonder.
