ideas on how to divide a room

I need some creative help. One RH we are looking at has no clear divider between the CH room and the reception room. I am the type of girl who wants an 'unveiling' of the reception room though, so I am thinking of ways to hide the room.

There is only one way for guests to get between teh CH and reception room, but it is right along the bar area. I was thinking of putting big stick/branches decor there. Maybe like 6-foot hight branches in pots that could be nicely decorated?

FH isnt really feeling that idea too much, because guests can still SEE...but it least it will obstruct them from just walking over and checking out the other room

Any other ideas? I asked if they could put a curtain or something, and they said no. The other issue is that the bar is square, so you can still see the room from the opposite side of the bar.

I hope I am explaining this clearly enough. If not, I will try harder or draw a diagram.

But any ideas would be great. Would creative lighting help that? Smoke and mirrors, lol.
