Interested in Photography

This is directed to you wedding photographers out there. I have always been interested in photography, took many classes in high school and some in college and am looking to earn some extra $ and get involved in photography again.

I obviously don't have professional experience, am interested in an assistant type position. I have taken lots of photos at friends weddings, mostly candids and it has always been a hobby of mine. (wanted to possibly do it as a career but became a lawyer instead - go figure)

Please let me know if anyone could use some p/t help!!

ALso, if anyone can recommend good camera/photo clubs in LI/NYC area.

Yes, i'm always interested in training new photographers (EVERYONE starts out in the apprentice position and moves up based on their work.) I don't work with assistants, only photographers.
