When I ordered my invitations, I had the return address put on the flap of the envelope. Now it is time to address them and I have a very similar font, that is not the problem, the problem is that I can't feed them through my printer at home, they are getting jammed, so I have to do them at work, we only have black ink, the ink on the envelopes (return address) is light grey. Is this okay or will it look funny? Thank you for any suggestions!

Re: Invitation Question...
While many brides opt to have their addresses match the ink color of their invitation, some choose to address them in black even if they selected a color for their invites/return address. This will not be a problem, however there are some very reasonably priced computer calligraphers that can match the font/color exactly. If you would like pricing on this, please send me an email or contact me at 718-357-6124. Either way, good luck! Gail Caparelli @ Simply Elegant, ww.SimplyElegantNY.com

Re: Invitation Question...
Hi Kittyke, I can understand that not being able to address your invitations from home with grey ink is a real bummer but if you stop and think...the return address is on the back of the envelope so it is less conspicuous than if it were on the front. I don't think this will look bad at all, in fact I checked on an invitation that I just received personally and it had blue ink on the return address and was done in black on the front and I didn't notice it until I just looked at it again after I read your post. I think this will be fine but as it was stated in the above post, you can always get it done by a caligrapher if it really bothers you.

Re: Invitation Question...
I have to agree with all the vendors. While it would be great to have everything match, sometimes when using home computers it cannot always be done. I'm sure if you can get all the envelopes printed clean, neat and accurate, your invitations will look beautiful. I also think that sometimes, we all get 'possessed' with having to have everything match!
However, if you decide you would like to have it match the backflap, I would be happy to give you a price for laser calligraphy--email me directly at www.rbrase @optonline.net
