Invitation Question

Invitation Question

I need a professional opinion. I had gone to verse it. com and found some really nice poems. Someone told me that you usually don't put poems except for maybe a verse instead of a couple into an invite that it doesn't sound right. Is that true??

Re: Invitation Question

Dear Kaylas Parents:

You can add a poem to an invitation if the layout of the invitation allows you the appropriate space. Some companies will also place poems on back/inner panels of an invitation, but there is an additional cost in doing so (anywhere from $35-$75). Two or three line verses are more common at the top of invitation before the main copy is laid out.

If you want to add it to the main body of the invitation copy, it should not be too long. Usually, printers do not want to go over 14-15 lines on an invitation. (There are also extra charges of 14 lines of text).

I hope I answered your question!

Good Luck!
