My FH father passed away 13 years ago and we want to include his name of the invite, is this the correct way:
Mr. and Mrs. Gary GXXX
invite you to share in the joy
at the marriage of the daughter
Jodi Melanie
To
Leonard Scott
son of
Mrs. Elaine BXXXX and the late Howard Philip
Saturday, the twenty-second of November
Two thousand and three
At seven o’clock in the evening
Crest Hollow Country Club
Woodbury, New York
or should we say
Mrs. Elaine BXXXX and the late Howard BXXXX
Philip is his middle name

Re: Invitation wording
Hi Jodi,
I did a little research on this and it seems that as long as the deceased parent is not the host of the wedding it is ok to include the name as you have shown. I would use his first and last name rather than his middle name.
Hi Jodi!! I did a quick check in my 'etiquette' guides, here's what they say to do:
Maria Louise Jones daughter of Margaret Elizabeth Jones and the late Mark Allen Jones and John Matthew Smith son of Mr. and Mrs. James Michael Smith request the honour of your presence at their marriage....
I hope this helps!! Send my regards to Leonard!! --Laura

Re: Invitation wording
Hi Jodi I just went through this writing the wording for my best friend's wedding. There were several different options but her and I both felt this was the best.
Her mom passed away so you cannot write Mr. and Mrs. ---- request the honour of your presence because the deceased cannot invite. Here is how we did it:
Mr. Jack Si___ requests the honour of your pres..at the marr..of Jacqueline Lee __ daughter of Mr. Si___ and the late Jeannie Si___ to Anthony ___ son of Mr and Mrs._____ on Saurday...... at ......
