invite ques!!!

I just got my hotel info. & already sent out save the dates a while ago...

the hotel cuts off a month before the wedding for the room block

what is the earliest I can send out my invites for my 8/6/06 wedding & what should the rsvp date be?

also any sites/ideas for different but not $$$ invites????
