My Dad is a Reverend, and I really had my heart set on him performing my marriage ceremony. The problem is that he is also giving me away. He feels it would be awkward if he did both.
I need an officiant to perform the 1st part of my ceremony, (greeting, etc.) up until my Dad gives me away, then I'd like my dad to take over, and perform the rest of the ceremony.
I know this Is a strange request, but is this at all possible? If so, I'd like some quotes for this type of service. I am getting married at my hall on April 20th, 2007. I'm at my wits end trying to figure out a way to make this work. Thank you

Re: Need officiant for only part of the ceremony.
This is a hard request. I can't imaging charging you full price for this yet just doing the opening will mean you have the slot someone who wants a full ceremony could have.
IMO the 'giving away the Bride' need not be after the welcome and the address. In fact I find it flows better right from the get go. So if you were to enter with your dad, you pause, he shakes your FH hand then puts your hands together, steps into his place and says something like, 'With the blessing of the Bride's family already bestowed, I would like to now ask the family of the groom if ____ and ____ have your blessing upon their marriage?'
Groom's family could say yes and then close it with 'Then today we shall marry our children and may all of us who are touched by the warmth of their love be united by it.'
I'm suggesting this wording so that it doesn't feel like your family is taking in the groom and his family are spectators. I would also consider giving the Groom's father the closing words/blessing for balance and to show respect.
I really try to make a point of being helpful and answering the questions here rather than taking this as an opportunity to sell you something, so with that said, I married the daughter of a wedding officiant because it would be too emotional, and he just wanted to be the Father of the bride.
I married an officiant whose sister is also an officiant. It's different when it's someone you love and when it came time for Pam to read for her sister she was indeed teary eyed!
So as the 1st part of my post states there are ways to do this without another officiant, however logistics aside, your dad might be thankful to have a plan b or a lesser role because there is no way to judge how emotions will run on the day your little girl becomes some one's wife.
Forgive me if I have overstepped my place here, but if I'm going to give you something to think about you may as well see it from all the sides that the last 10 years have showed me.
Meetings are free and there's no obligation so if you want to come over with your dad, I'd be more than happy to be of any service that I can.
Wishing you the wedding of your dreams and a long and happy life together.

Thank you both for your suggestions, and Pastor April for the suggested wording, it's beautiful!
I am going to speak to my Dad, and see what he wants to do about it. If he feels ok with having another officiant perform the ceremony, then I will definitely contact you for a meeting. Thank you for taking the time to respond.
