Cost is definately a priority - I have received a quote from a DJ for $700 for 6 hours - also $1600 for a photographer - and $80 dollars per person for a wedding reception at a hotel near MacArthur Airport. I am looking to keep the costs down but hoping to have a wonderful day as well. Any help you could provide would be great. Thanks!

I can only make reference to your price quote for DJ services. Note that $700 is well below the average DJ fee in this locale. Be sure that you check references very carefully and have the opportunity to interview the person who will be responsible for providing music at your event. I received your email, and sent you out some info, via email, and snail mail. The DJ price for $700 is very cheap, and I would definitly check out references, and if they have insurance(because all catering halls and restaurants require this) If I was quoted a price that low, I would be worried that they wouldnt show up, so that is another thing to consider too because you want someone who has been around for years, and knows exactly what they are doing. I see you are also planning out of town, so what you might want to do is set aside a weekend, or a couple of weekdays to come to Long Island, and meet with different vendors in person. All products and services usually provide a high, a middle, and a low offering. For our photography, we don't have just 3-5 packages, we have over one hundred. This allows you to choose exactly what you want, the way you want it, and at a price you are looking for. We,ve done wedding photography from $600 to $10,000 and completely satisfied both ends. But these are
