Not sure what to do about transportation.
I wasn't originally planning on hiring transportation since our ceremony is at our reception hall, but it seems that perhaps I should. I'll be preparing in Jamesport, my fiance will be in Baiting Hollow, and I'd like to take pictures somewhere in between before going to the Miller Place Inn.
Item #1:
I have a bridal party of 10 (including myself and groom). We'd like to take pictures somewhere before the ceremony, other than at the hall, maybe at a corn maze or pumpkin patch. I was going to just have everyone meet us at whichever place we decided, but this seems like it might be a little disorganized, and it leaves everyone's vehicles at the RH at the end of the night. Of course, if we all go in a limo from one point on the North Fork, it still leaves everyone's cars somewhere other than where they are likely to end up (see item #2).
Item #2:
I have had a greater-than-expected response to the hotels that I blocked (The Radisson, LIE x 63, and Danfords in Pt. Jeff). It seems that some local people, including some of the bridal party, intend to stay the night at hotels, rather than going home. The groom and I will also be staying at Danford's. I don't have an actual count, but I'm estimating that at least 15 people will need rides from their hotels to the RH. Possibly as many as 40. And they haven't picked which hotels they're staying at yet. Is it unrealistic to have a coach leave the Radisson at 5:00, stop at Danfords, and then continue to the RH for a 6pm ceremony, or is this exactly what should be done? Then, of course, there would need to be a return trip.
Does any of this sound like a good idea, or is it completely overcomplicated and a small fortune? Do I have enough specifics to even entertain a quote?
Thank you,
Michele Arnau
