Officiant - Please HELP

Hi..

I'm in need of some serious help. I had some personal issues that prevented me from registering for my Marriage certificate. The reverand that I went with, stated that she only marries ppl that is registered with the NYS for a marriage license. I know this is last minute but my wedding is 9/22/07 (Saturday) at 12:30PM. Is there an officiant that could squeeze me in their schedule for that date/time and also, marry us off without a Marriage license present. Please Help!!

There are simple and beautiful ways around this. I am surprised your officiant did not offer you an alternative, but you have FM with some options and encouragement!

In NY State it is a misdemeanor to perform a marriage ceremony without a marriage license present. It constitutes fraud because of all of the legal implications associated with the contractual aspects of marriage. The officiant can be punished with a $500.00 fine and loss of their right to marry other couples.
