I would like to get married by a Catholic priest however I am getting married outside of the church (my hall) and I have been told that no Catholic priest will do this. My question is who in the Catholic religion will marry us outside of the church? I was told possibly a deacon, if so, are there any out there
Thanks in advance!

Re: Officiants??
Fr. Joe DeVincenzo is a Catholic Priest.
I don't think it is Roman Catholic but I know it is a branch of Catholicism and he is wonderful! Straight from the hip, what you see is what you get, but the best complement that I hear about him is that he is a powerful force that allows people to feel the presence of God at his ceremonies.
The Roman Catholic Church does what they call a 'Convalidation' which runs around $100.00 (according to my last bride who chose this option) Which is what they call the process by which your marriage becomes recognized in the eyes of the church. The Arch diocese of NY does not have any info on this up but several around the country do so below is a very interesting article that answers some questions that one might not think to ask with out seeing it.
