I need someone to marry us on August 6 2005. The wedding is at 11:30 am at Chateau La Mer in Lindenhurst. The only problem is that we live in VA and won't be in the NY area again until June. Please help

Planning from out of state can be so stressful but by the same token you are far enough removed from everything that it doesn't take over your life and consume every waking moment. I have quite a few out of town brides and honestly they're great! I think the key is to choose good vendors and then just trust them.
I would be honored to be your officiant and I do have your date open at this time.
There are a few of my past Brides on the Newlywed board and one of them is from Atlanta so if you are interested in references feel free to ask them to FM you.
There are many fine officiants here on this board and on Long Island. It is not as difficult these days to find a good one as it is to find the right one for you and your beloved. I suggest that you call and chat with more than one. We all have our own flavor! And finding who is compatible is important.
