Opinions: Swan Club or Woodbury Country Club

Dear Bride:


As a vocalist in a prominent Long Island Wedding Band, I have been at both places on numerous occasions. Also, my cousin recently got married at the Swan Club on St. Patty's Day!

The affair at the Swan Club was very nice. Their service was very good as well as the food and all the employees were very pleasant. My cousin and his wife were pleased with everything, and the price was within their budget.

At Woodbury, I have eaten there many times for parties I have worked at as well as corporate functions I attended to as a guest. I found the food to be very good and consistent. I also think you might have a better opportunity to be the 'only bride' since I do not believe they handle numerous parties at one time. At the Swan Club they will probably have more than one event going on depending on the time of the year. I also think, however, that the prices at Woodbury are probably higher since it is also a private country club.

I think both offer nice grounds and gardens for pictures, as well as good food and service, but I think you may need to choose what fits your budget and what items/choices comes within each price.

Both locations do a fine wedding reception. There is a town ordinance regarding Woodbury Country Club that does not allow amplified music outside for the cocktail hour. You can have harp,strolling violins, string ensemble,Mariachi Band and even steel drums as long as nothing is amplified.
Both locations are very pleasant to work with.
My personal band has performed at each location many times. The DJ's from my office also have only positivie comments to make on each location.
