Re: reception discounts for 9-11 families

That seems to me like the kind of situation that if it came up privately would be one thing, but to publicly offer an across the board 9-11 discount or to have someone specifically shopping for it...

The idea of reducing such a horrific event for everyone involved, to a way to make or save a buck seems extremely unpalatable to me.

I am sorry for your loss, and many of us in the industry are very open to special needs couples. But 9-11 is still a tender subject for many of us vendors as well. Believe me no one in this area got passed it unscathed.

Re: reception discounts for 9-11 families

Sorry to say, but if you actually know what it was like to loose someone that day, then you would know that horrific event NEVER goes away or the replaying of that day in your mind. I really think you have no place to pass judgements upon people about this topic. Do you know anything about me? Do you know from what financial bakground i come from? Maybe i need all the help i can get in order to make my wedding day as beautiful as possible, EVEN THOUGH MY DAD WILL NOT be there to walk me down the aisle. DO you personally know how sad that makes me- even to the point that i considered not having a wedding because he wont be there. So i suggest not passing judgements upon people and keeping your NASTY comments to yourself!

Re: reception discounts for 9-11 families

Greetings,

By policy we don't accept bookings more than one year in advance -- your wedding is in 2006, is that right? -- but I have sent along a Forum Mail message to you anyway. Hope you find it encouraging!
