The staff at the Riviera is easy to work with. Access to the room is easy for performers. They only do one wedding at a time. If you are using a Band or DJ be aware that there is a difference in the sound where the guests are sitting. The best suggestion is to use someone who is familiar with the unique acoustic qualities. The sound the Band or DJ as well as guests on the dance floor hears- is totally different from the sound the guests at the tables hear.
I have been able to solve this problem by doing a sound analysis of the room and setting the EQ to conform to the room. This has been a great help to the Bands and DJ's from my office. This also eliminates the problem of microphone feedback. With this analysis I have been able to do toast and blessing at the bride's table -which makes a much nicer picture for your photo album (instead of at the bandstand) with a wireless microphone - without the sound being muffled. The hour prior to the reception is superb outside if the weather is warm. I like to place steel drums outside to set the ambience of the reception. It works great with the setting. Steel Drums can also perform inside in the next room. Another idea is strolling violins-also works great at The Riviera.
You will have a great wedding at the Riviera. Hope this was able to help you.
