Fresh Rose Petals are not very expensive and of course, look the nicest both in person and in the photos. Generally you can get 100 petals for about
$20.00---Sometimes, depending on who your florist is -- they will supply you with a large bag. You MUST however, be very careful with the fresh petals--The essence is in the rose and they can STAIN!!-- The dark color roses are particularly
not a good idea. I have seen brides who have the entire train of their dress stained just from the petals that fell onto the ground and the train dragged through them. Some lighter color roses are also dyed around the edges with a darker color -- I would also avoid these as theat dye can run--Not that it would ever rain on your wedding day -- but god forbid it ever did -- DISASTER--Again -- fresh is always the nicest
looking but not always the best idea --- Alternatives would be silk petals that look very real or freeze dried petals -- These are comparable in price to the fresh petals and perhaps even a little less expensive ----Good Luck

Dear Kris H,
One of my friends used rose petals at her wedding and they ran her $50 for every 200 petals. She told me that it was not worth it and that she would not recommend this to anyone, because many of the petals started to wither by the time they were thrown, and that she wished she had done something else. One very good idea, is bubbles, giving out tiny bubble bottles is very nice, and the guests even have a little souvenir afterwards. If you have any further questions, or need to book entertainment, you can email me at: [email protected]. Good luck with the rest of your wedding planning.
