Spaghetti Strap Gown Question

My wedding gown has spaghetti straps. It seems a little heavy and when I went for my last fitting, it left red marks on my shoulders (but then again I was moving the straps up and down, trying to get comfortable in it). Is there anything I can do to fix this? I don't want to make it strapless. Can I buy body tape, can the seamstress do anything to it. The dress doesn't have train, but it does have a lot of beads, so it is very heavy.
