I have a multiple page questionnaire that covers every aspect of the wedding. Any special song you want that is not in our repertoire- I will be happy to learn it for you.This past weekend the first dance was a rarely performed song-we learned it like the record for the bride and groom. A client that just booked my band this afternoon has requested that I learn (and sing) a Korean song that is important to her family.This will be a first. I will be learning to sing the song (in Korean) phonetically with the help of a CD the bride is giving me. I am often asked for special songs and will be happy to oblige.This is part of the service I offer to brides. I am available to brides at all times to go over all the details and help with suggestions. I do not limit the band with a play list. The female lead in the Broadway Show 'Jekyl And Hyde' wanted us to play only Big Band Swing and Sinatra for her wedding.We performed for the Du Pont wedding- the full band performed 55 minutes per hour for 9 1/2 hours.One of the banquet managers at a local catering establishment wanted only Rock and Disco.You can have a theme wedding or a wide array of songs and styles to please all your guests.The female vocalist in my band has a voice equal to Streisand and Celine Dion-she can do anything-she is absolutely great. Everyone in the band has a great time performing-and the guests pick up on this immediately. The personnel of the band is the same on every performance- everyone has been with me for many years- no changes-no surprises and each one is a great performer- and a wonderful person. The band has a tremendous repertoire and can cover everything from Big Band, Sinatra, Jazz,Broadway Shows through all the current dance music.Also large repertoire of Italian, Irish, Greek,Spanish,Latin,Ballroom Dance Music etc.
Remember -this is your wedding-you should have exactly what you want- never settle for less.
I have never considered this as work-I earn my living at this -and absolutely love every moment of working with a client to the final magical wedding reception.

Tonight I just returned from a seminar speaking to brides at the Westbury Manor about customizing the music for their weddings.The same question came up about any songs the band does not know-with a new twist-will the band learn them but in different languages.
Again the answer is yes.I have recently performed several ethnic specialty weddings. Two weeks ago my band played an Italian/Greek wedding. Specific songs from two areas of Greece were learned and performed. Last weekend I performed for an Italian/Portuguese wedding- with special Portuguese songs learned for the function. This coming weekend one of the weddings will be a Greek/German/Italian wedding that needs everything from Strauss Waltzes, additional authentic Greek and Italian songs from specific regions of Greece and Italy as well as current dance music.This will give you an idea of how we try to go 'above and beyond' for a bride and groom and their family requests and wishes. The wedding should meet the needs of all the guests attending.
