i went and saw a Dj company perform and they had a steeldrum player available for cocktail hour, I really love this idea but I dont have alot of money to spend, what is average cost to do this so i might ask with better knowledge when i meet with them.

You should have two steel drums for a cocktail hour.One steel drummer will not be enough sound-it will sound empty.The best sound is with two steel drum performers plus the rhythm computer (for sound of the regular drums that are needed to back them up).
