I have a question. I am an event coordinator in Orlando, Florida. Each month I rent a 49 passenger bus to transport some clients from a hotel near the airport to a specific facility. The cost for doing this is $45/hr. It seems that most vendors on long island charge about double this cost. I know some of the difference can be chalked up the cost of living...but I don't think that cost of living can account for a difference of almost $450. Am I missing something? Can someone please explain?

Hi Debbie, As for 49 pass Buses in NY compared to FL. The average price in NY is $95.00 & FL is $55.00 per hour. The cost of living in NY is much more than you think. Insurance is almost double, the property they own is more expensive & high taxes. Diesel fuel is much higher, salary much higher. As a event coordinator you also would get a corporate discount.
