I'm thinking about going to Hawaii for my honeymoon. Because I'm getting married the end of June I really don't think it makes sense to go right away. Living around here it's only warm about 3-4 months out of the year anyway. Do you know if the hotel and flight rates go down in the fall?I'm kind of figuring that things get quieter there when the kids are back in school. Am I right? If so which is the quietest cheapest month to go. I don't want to put it off too long but am willing to go Sept, Oct, or Nov. Just checking to see if I'm right about this. Does any travel agent or any other vendor have a opinion on this. Thanks for your time.

The best time to go indeed, would be Mid September through early November - the time between when school starts and Thanksgiving. Hawaiian Packages are usually less expensive these times, as the travel vendors want to entice people to travel in the 'off season'. For instance - there is a sale right now 6 days/5 nights including air from NYC starting at $629 per person in a 2.5 - 3 star hotel on waikiki, and $775 on Maui - this just goes to show how inexpensive and inviting Hawaii is during this time.

Hi Dawn, The rainy months in Hawaii are from November to March, so it is safe to go there in the early fall if you want. You don't have to worry too much about a lot of kids if you do decide to go in June or another summer month.
I had the experience last April to sail on the Infinity from Celebrity Cruise Lines and had a wonderful time. It was an 11 day cruise and we did a prehotel package in Honalulu for 3 days, we couldn't wait to get on the ship. The benefit to taking a cruise in Hawaii was great. We were able to see all the islands instead of staying at just 1 or 2. Each island has it's own personality and beauty although they are close together.
