Tux question

Ok we can't get a straight story out of any of the tux places.

It is a formal wedding - Groom is wearing tails - with a white piquet shirt, vest and bow tie. NOW - we think the proper dress is to put the groomsmen also in the same dress - BUT the tux place insists that it is not proper to do that and the groomsmen should also be in tails but with black vest and bow tie.

Which is proper?

Re: Tux question

Hi
Proper etiquette would state that all members are alike in style of dress, and the groom is made different with a change of flower.
However
Fashionwise, I would prefer to have the groom as the only one wearing white, as it is his day and he should match you(also the only one in white) and have the fellows wear a black vest.

Hope this helps you and good luck
