Iam looking for reception site that is diiferent from the rest
I am looking to get married in October 2006 and would like to do a fall/harvest theme.
I was wondering if there is any venue on Long Island that would allow me to do this.Maybe an old barn or somewhere with a rustic feel.

Panting Fields has a barn that I went to a fundraiser for the Theodore Roosevelt Sanctuary at once. You might want to try there.

I enjoy brainstorming with people about where to hold a wedding! Nothing obvious occurs to me with your question, but call me and we can talk. ...One thought is, you want a place that will be comfortable for your party. (Not like the wedding I played at recently, on the lawn of a beautiful waterfront North Fork vineyard -- with hurricane remnants raging about us, and the weird bathroom trailer located an unprotected 75 yard walk from the main tent!!)
