Vendors for July 4th, 2004

Question.....I am considerring booking a site for Sunday eve. July 4th 2004 and I am concerned that I will have trouble booking vendors. Is it commonplace for vendors to work on the holiday weekends????

Most holidays are available for bookings with limited blackout dates.

You should definitely arrange for all you vendors as soon as possible. The holiday weekends are the first to book up immediately.The catering establishments that I am associated with are already filling in that weekend next year. July 4 weekend is probably the most popular. Many brides find if they wait they have problems getting quality vendors.This coming July 4 weekend my office is going non stop with Bands,DJ's and Steel Drum performers as well as Banjo and Dixieland Bands.
Memorial Day Weekend and Columbus Day weekend are the next big ones along with Labor Day weekend.

If you do decide on July 4th, then something crops up nearer the date that you hadn't foreseen, and you think it will be impossible to place, it's worth remembering that vendors do get cancellations, so may be able to help you after all.

Not all our bookings are wedding related, and we just had a cancellation for August 2003, which has delighted an August 31st bride, who is absolutely thrilled to discover she can now relax for a few days before her wedding in our Beach House, which is close to her wedding venue, even though it's over Labor Day weekend.

By the way, we still have other dates available for 2003 if anyone needs accommodation to host out of town guests, or just to have a romantic break that is not too far from home. Good luck whatever you decide!
