Violin Player?

Anyone can give me an idea of what it will cost to hire a violinist for 1 hour. during cocktail hour and to play one song during ceremony. Any one think its a good idea to grab a college music student for cheap?

Bach's Air of G string will most likely be the song, lovely, but snore!

So, I'm toying with the idea of playing the instrumental violin version of Black Sabbath's Iron Man. So I need a flexible violinist.


Am I crazy?

Cocktail hour music should be something classical, I know mozart vivaldi and such will be appreciated, as well as anything by Enya.

I'm pretty flexible there, I don't care I wont be there I'll be in bridal suit with my mp3 player until reception

Congratulations on your up-coming wedding!

I have just sent you a forum mail with some information as per your request.

'Air' on the G String can be performed at brighter (more up-beat) tempos, rendering a less dull performance. I tend to agree with you that it can sound a bit dull or sad, and particularly if it is performed at too slow a tempo! Just be sure to let whomever shall perform it/if it's going to be performed for you for certain..let he/she know that you prefer it to be a bit more up-tempo performance.

A Duet of Harp and Violin will perform. Our music begins at 6:30 PM.
