My fiance` and I are trying to find caterers/restaurants that are on the water that can hold the ceremony as well as the reception. We are having a small reception, around 70-80 people. We are running into some problems such as some places have a mininum of say 120 people to use their waterfront facility or that it`s just too far to travel to (Sag Harbor, Hamptons, Montauk). We live in Farmingdale. Traveling anywhere from Oakdale, Bayshore, Freeport, Oyster, Glen Cove and such is not a problem though.
So in closing, if any of you have heard or been to waterfront places that we are looking for, let us know who they are if you don`t mind. Thanks.

Have you tried the Boardwalk at Jones Beach? Or I would strongly suggest thinking out of the box. Find the nicest resteraunt on the water and just tell them you want to book it! I doubt you`ll get many 'No`s'! It has been my experiance that people love couples in love and most will want to do all they can for you.

John Anthony's (Babylon) does have a smaller room but I'm not sure about the minimum. What about the Bayview House at Captain Bills (Bay Shore)?
Lands End (Sayville), Snapper Inn? Again, not sure about minimums but it may be worth a try. Good luck!

Have you contacted John Anthony`s on the Water in Bayville? Ask for Anne Suttmeier (631) 422-2400.
Also the Harbor Club in Huntington .Call Anne Suttmeier at John Anthony`s regarding the Harbor Club.Both John Antony`s and the Harbor Club are owned by the same company.Hope this helps .By the way all three locations have beautiful views and the food is great.
