wearing hair down...

i want to wear my hair down in curls in august and my mom thinks it's not going to last. what do you guys think? i have thick hair with a wave to it.

I was married in August... My hair is completely the opposite of yours- straight and thin and I wore it up... The only thing I would express concern to you about wearing your hair down is the humidity in the air... Granted, I was in A/C a majority of the day- but the times I was outside- for pictures & the cocktail hour-- I could feel my hair taking a life of it's own... I was almost afriad to touch it!

Just keep in mind- August temperatures can be unpredictable, and the humidity on top of it can make days feel like 100+ degrees.

I hope this is helpful, I have long curly hair and for my wedding I wore it down and now regret it. when I remember that aspect of the day I feel that 1. My hair would've been less maintanance throughout the day and didn't have to worry about it frizzing or blowing in the wind and 2. When I look at the pictures although I look like me, I wish I looked more glamorous.
