My honeymoon is being cut short...UPDATE

My honeymoon is being cut short...UPDATE

I dont know if anyone knows about it, although its all over the news, but my cruise ship went on fire this morning about 3 am. Im on the cruise ship right now, luckily on the side of the ship that wasnt burned. It has been a really horrible experience.

One person had died and like 17 people injured. Im sad that our honeymoon will be cut short but so happy that we are still alive and our belongings are okay.

Around 120 rooms were destroyed and a lot of the passengers' belongings destroyed from soot and water.

Ill keep you more up to day hopefully tomorrow. We will be coming home, flying out of Jamaica. Ill post some pics of this horrible tragedy.

ETA: We are getting a full refund of the cruise plus a full refund of our initial flights. They are also giving us a 25% discount if we want to take another cruise by the end of 2007

That is absolutely horrible!!!!!!! I am so sorry that you have to go through that! Even though I am sure the cruise line will do something for you guys it is still a horrible way to end a honeymoon!

OMG! i did hear about it on the news. so sorry for those passengers who didn't make it---but sooo glad you were on the 'safe' side.

hopefully they will compensate you in some way for the lost time on your cruise ship. but mainly just get home safe!!!
