in my school there are twins

a boy and a girl

the parents named the boy and the girl THE SAME THING and YES they are spelled the same. However, they have different last names.

for example (Names have been changed)

lauren smith
lauren jones

How dumb is this? as a teacher i'm begging you... please DO NOT DO THIS!!!

One child has the mothers last name and the other has the fathers.

Why would someone do that? How confusing it must be at home. Do you think they call them lauren1 & lauren2?

Technically you can give a child any last name you chose. If it's on the birth certificate it's legal.

That would have been bad in my house. The dreaded full name call meant you were in some serious trouble!
