First Loves

Who was your first love???

My first true love was a guy named Justin (Funny, I married a Justin) who was working for a record company that I liked at the time. He had a weird british/down south accent. I thought he was amazing. He was always traveling with the company though. I would fly out to cities just to see the band play and meet up with him if it was only for a few hours. :-/ he totally screwed me over in the end, and turned out to be a major @$$hole.

My first real love was a guy named Paul...But the 2 + years I spent with him, & as bad as it got towards the end I learned A LOT about myself and about relationships so I don't regret it!

My first love was a long distance relationship. I was in college upstate NY and he was in San Diego, Cali!!! We met on AIM He was a year younger than me but we stayed together for over a year. He ended up being a jerk and dumping me out of nowhere, in an email, no less! Now, he's married w/ 2-3 kids (I used to stalk him on MySpace but he would never accept me as a friend LOL)

Actually DH was my first true love. I never had a real boyfriend before him.

Wow, your story sounds similar to mine. He was younger than me (by a few years) and we met right before I graduated college in Miami. When I moved to Washington DC after college we dated long distance for almost 2 years, until he sent me an instant message to break up with me! What a jerk, after I spent so much money traveling to see him and call him long distance every night. I'm so much better off now anyway...years ago I saw his myspace page and he's bald and old looking now, whereas I ended up with a hot husband who treats me 100% better than he ever did.

my first love was the man I married (blah, blah, blah - how clique. lol) but it's true!! I was always VERY careful especially when it came to guys. I dated, but never really got into anything serious, until Dh came along. I guess it paid off though to be sooo careful with who I gave my heart to - it didn't really have the chance to get broken. I always knew exactly what I was looking for - and all those guys who I had sorda been with before him just weren't it.

My first CRUSH, however, is another story

mine was my first serious boyfriend, adam. we dated for 3 years and he was the best first boyfriend any girl could have - treated me like gold. I was too young to be that serious though with one person.

This is hard to answer....notice the edit lol. DH is my REAL first love.

In high school I had a serious BF and to be honest, he was a good dude. It didn't end well...we were curious kids But as far as puppy love, first 'love' he was it.

I always feel guilty bc he pursued me well into my relationship with DH and I was SOOOOO no into him. But for the place and time we were together, ya you could call it first love.

I dated and dated until I met DH.

We actually didn't even hit it off on our first date and we didn't speak for 6 months after that. Then, we rekindled and went on a 'second,' first date.
The gym is where we met.
Rest is history.

I think its so cute how some of you have been dating DH for soooo long. Im kind of jealous - i didnt meet DH until i was 27. I always wish i had been younger and spent more time together

i was 14 & fell for a much older boy He was 19 at the time...swept me off my feet..i was smitten. It then turned into an almost 3year saga! Broke my heart over & over again..He would constantly tell me he loved me, but then go back to the same g/f over & over..Everytime things would settle & i'd say 'finally i have him now! he's mine forever!' I'd find out he was back with 'her'..(but of course i'd never find out from him...always from another source which was the reason for the heartache because i would think WE were together!)..then anytime i'd say 'i'm moving on' and get a boyfriend, he would come crawlin' & cryin' - i'd break up w/who i was with, and then the same story all over again.. needless to say he CONTINUOUSLY broke my heart! almost 3years from when it began - i finally said enough was enough. I had had it and made the decision within myself that i was DONE. My friends & i had a celebration party & tacked his picture on one of those inflatable punching bags that would pop back up after u punched it we beat the sh*t out of it so bad that we broke it & it no longer popped up! he did try me again after that - but i was SO over it all..never went back to him again.. ANYWAYS, the following two years i dated.. had one serious relationship in the midst - and then met DH it was only then that i knew what REAL love was..what a REAL relationship & a future was about.. although i always say 'my first love was this jerk so & so' -that other guy was definetly puppy love..i was young & was 'in love' with an older boy..and whenever i think back to the situation & where that other guy is now - i thank GOD that i never ended up with him! It definetly taught me everything about what i really wanted & what i absolutely did NOT want! and i never put up w/b.s. again..so THAT i'm thankful for.. (and wouldn't u know he ended up w/that same old girl he always went back too & they're miserable ) ..now when i think back - what on EARTH was a 20 year old in college doing with a little 14year old girl??!!! and more so..how did his 20year old g/f think it was normal?!! (whenever i say that my family always says 'YEA...we TRIED to tell u that!' ) i never 'gave it up' so it definetly wasn't that! lol.. no wonder my brothers hated him whenever he's brought up my big bro's are always like 'yea..we STILL wanna hunt him down & kick his a** just because we never did'

i thought i was in love with this boy Chris when I was 14 and again with an older guy named Drew when I was 15.

but when I met DH...it was SOOOO much better and real and intense. he is my 1st love hands down. it wasnt 'i think' it was 'i know'

My first true love was Jerry. We met in college when I was a freshman, started dating, and on my 21st birthday he proposed. I was in my senior year so put off planning for a while. I worked with him at opening his Hallmark store, and managed it on the weekends as part of a school internship. After my graduation we started planning the wedding, and two weeks shy of my 22nd birthday he told me he didn't want to get married. I was heartbroken. Never saw it coming, never found out why.

Funny how you don't forget things. Our dating anniversary is May 28th, his b-day is August 4th.
This September 30th would have been our 20th wedding anniversary.
I haven't talked to him in 18 years.
