Oheka Castle price quote!! INSANE!
My friend just got engaged and started looking at RH's she went to Oheka Castle and they told her there is a 11,000 site fee AND its over $200 per person- is that not the most ridiculous thing you have ever heard!!! I could not believe it could cost so much!!!she said it was gorgeous but seriously I'm in shock!!
No where I looked had a site fee!

I really thought it was closer to $400-$500 a person there. Maybe that's just peak time.

I've heard of site fees and the crazy thing is we would have paid it but you needed crazy minimums and they quoted us $250 per person and up.

That is crazy. I would never pay that much money - and if I had it to waste, I would get married at the Castle in Disney!

I could give you an idea of Disney prices and I'll tell you that anything I'd do there is more than my entire wedding is costing, it's insane. The most lavish wedding I've ever seen was at Disneyland before park hours and it was a group of guests from Japan. It was the only wedding I've ever seen right in front of the castle (because Disneyland says no to in park weddings) and the amount they paid to say their vows there was astronomical. Weddings are much more common at Disney World and I'm not the price expert but I know what some of the costs are, it's nuts.

that place is soo gorgeous, but we would never be able to afford it, so we never even went to see it. we didnt wanna fall in love then get heart broken when we heard the price!!me the the FH joke around saying that we should just go now, and pretend we dont have date set yet and just go by and see it!

Yeah - it is a bit much - FH and I were quoted $285 for their least expensive menu...with the insane site fee. Ugh. We actually ended up booking a place with a site fee too - although - it wasn't as insane as Oheka! It is beautiful - but the price is just way too over the top IMO.

My Uncle got married there 6 years ago ....... The price was ridiculous but soooo gorgeous!

Considering there are girls on this site getting married there, I think we need to be a little more sensitive about how we talk about this.Yes, the place is out of budget for the majority of us. But that is the point of having a venue like that - it is exclusive. Oheka sets the price for their services and it is their choice on what to charge. There are many people on Long Island with that kind of money to spend.
The place is amazing and if that is what someone chooses to spend on their wedding, we shouldn't judge and call them crazy and say it is ridiculous.

Also, a lot of people on this site are spending quite a bit on their weddings. If your budget is $30k or $60k what's $11k of it? It's all relative, in my opinion. If you spend that much on the place, maybe you don't spend as much on a band or a dress or a honeymoon, I think it depends how you budget. Some people are spending $9k on a band for 4hrs, I don't see how that's very different. Just my opinion, though and not trying to insult at all.

Don't think that they don't negotiate though ladies!I know someone that got married there Thanksgiving weekend, wasn't charged the site fee and paid around 175PP! (it was a few years ago but still!)
