ever tell someone something and regret it immediately?

ever tell someone something and regret it immediately?

I was venting to a coworker just now and he took it upon himself to help me out .... i wasn't asking for help, just venting.

Now we've been talking for over 1/2 hour (literally!!!) and he's still asking me questions about this project!

it's extra-difficult because he knows nothing about what i'm working on so i have to explain everything to him.

note to self: never vent again

this is a good work-friend of mine though ... he's just trying to help so i do appreciate it ... but i'm expending more energy explaining things to him than actually working

People will always try to help if you're venting - they automatically assume venting = asking for help. We're all therapists and social workers in my office - you can imagine what happens when people vent here, lol.
