Today's question is a 3 part-er!!

1) Is the place you live now where you potentially want to stay and raise a family (if applicable)?

2) If money/job was no object, and you were going purely for pleasure, where would you pick up and move to?

3) Is there anywhere that you would be interested in living but there is some aspect of the climate or potential for natural disaster that deters you from going?

1) Yes, if i were going to live and buy a house anywhere on Long Island it would be Long Beach :) I love it there! And I'd have a beach baby :)

2) Probably Hawaii- We always joke that we'll move and I'll open up a mai-tai stand and he can clean surf boards for a living

3) I always said I wanted to move to California but my family has told me not to from the start- they're scared of fires, earthquakes, and I always told them to stop being babies... And now sadly with what is going on in Japan, it definitely makes me think twice about living near a fault. So scary.

1) Is the place you live now where you potentially want to stay and raise a family (if applicable)? We will be here in Bayside for another 9 years until DH retires. I will then quit my job and we will move out to Greenport

2) If money/job was no object, and you were going purely for pleasure, where would you pick up and move to? Any island in the Caribbean-love it down there.

3) Is there anywhere that you would be interested in living but there is some aspect of the climate or potential for natural disaster that deters you from going?
Florida- not a fan of the hurricanes!

NO, I WOULDN'T MIND STAYING IN QUEENS BUT DH IS A LONG ISLAND BOY AT HEART SO WE'LL MOVE OUT THERE. I WOULD PERFER BAYSIDE, WHITESTONE, OR DOUGLASTON, WHICH IS WHY WOULD WOULDN'T STAY EXACTLY WHERE WE ARE NOW.

2) If money/job was no object, and you were going purely for pleasure, where would you pick up and move to?
LONDON!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOVE IT THERE!

3) Is there anywhere that you would be interested in living but there is some aspect of the climate or potential for natural disaster that deters you from going?
NOT REALLY. ANYWHERE THERE IS A POTENTIAL OF CLIMATE OR POTENTIAL NATURAL DISASTERS SO THAT WOULDN'T STOP ME FROM MOVING THERE.

1) Is the place you live now where you potentially want to stay and raise a family (if applicable)?

not really. It's too expensive here and my apartment isn't the best.


2) If money/job was no object, and you were going purely for pleasure, where would you pick up and move to?

Cleveland. We have family there and it's such a small city. I like small places.


3) Is there anywhere that you would be interested in living but there is some aspect of the climate or potential for natural disaster that deters you from going?

Florida. I don't like tornados or massive hurricanes. I fear drowning.

I definitely plan to stay in Broad Channel to raise our family... this is an amazing community...

Las Vegas

California

1) Is the place you live now where you potentially want to stay and raise a family (if applicable)?

No. We're in a small condo now - and hope with in the next two/three years we'll be in a house with a yard for the kids.

2) If money/job was no object, and you were going purely for pleasure, where would you pick up and move to?

Paris. DH and I completely agree on this one.. we'd both love to live there. Then maybe a little vacation home in the Caribbean..

3) Is there anywhere that you would be interested in living but there is some aspect of the climate or potential for natural disaster that deters you from going?

Not really. Anything can happen anywhere... pick a place, and there is always a con in regards to weather, natural disasters... I wouldn't let it stop me from moving to a place that I loved.

1) Is the place you live now where you potentially want to stay and raise a family (if applicable)?

The town yes - I think Floral Park is a great town to raise kids in. We live on the first floor of a house - not a bad house just needs some major renovations. If I could buy the house and gut the whole thing then I would live there.

2) If money/job was no object, and you were going purely for pleasure, where would you pick up and move to?

Coastal North Carolina - everyone's so nice there and the weather is much better than up here but you still get the fall/winter feeling.

3) Is there anywhere that you would be interested in living but there is some aspect of the climate or potential for natural disaster that deters you from going?

Florida - too high of a risk for hurricanes...North Carolina does too but not as much.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

Maui.

3) Is there anywhere that you would be interested in living but there is some aspect of the climate or potential for natural disaster that deters you from going?

Nah, not really.

1) Well we don't want kiddos, but we also don't want to stay in our current 'hood forever. We have a unique living situation...DH owns the house with his parents, but they don't live there (THANK GOD)...we have tenants on two other floors. We pay a very small amount in rent considering the size of our apartment and the fact that we have a yard and garage...it's allowing us to save money for the future.

2) If money were no object...I'd still stay in NYC. There's no place like it in the world. I love it too much to leave it.

3) I'm interested in living in a place like Alaska or Montana, but it gets effing cold in both places for longer than I can probably deal with.

POSSIBLY, but it's so expensive that it isn't going to happen. Maybe for 1 baby.

Europe somewhere
